In its coverage of A Small Light, a new miniseries about the family who helped to shelter Holocaust victim Anne Frank and her family, The Jerusalem Post spoke with Dr. Brad Prager about the directors’ approach.

Professor of German and Film Studies at MU, Dr. Prager is a world expert on cinematic representations of the Holocaust, and teaches courses in Film Studies at MU that include FILMS_SVS and GERMAN 3865, “The Holocaust on Screen.” In his commentary for the Post, Dr. Prager reflected on the widespread use of film and television portrayals in Holocaust education, stressing the importance of centering Jewish perspectives and experiences in stories told through the viewpoint of non-Jewish characters.
